categories, as recommended by the National High Blood Pressure :
Chronic hypertension
Preeclampsia-eclampsia
Preeclampsia superimposed on chronic hypertension
Gestational hypertension (transient hypertension of pregnancy or
chronic hypertension identified in the latter half of pregnancy).
